If your PC breaks, don't panic. There are many different symptoms. Perhaps it just won't turn on? An error message comes up? Windows won't even start? Your new printer just refuses to be recognised by the PC no matter which USB port you try?

If your computer was fast enough when you first got it but is slower than molasses now it is not always time to either throw money at more memory or buy a new computer. it is just confused about something, probably, and a simple tune-up will make it faster than the day you first turned it on.

Let me do the worrying for you. Most problems can be repaired in an hour. My callout charge includes the first hour of labour and costs just $50.

I will be able to tell you almost immediately if the job will take longer than an hour and will always be honest about my labour charges. I will not stray into the second hour without informing you first. I promise that you will not have the dubious pleasure of my company for longer than is genuinely necessary to sort out your problem.

In some cases it may be necessary for me to take the PC away in which case you will not be charged a transportation fee. Some jobs can take hours and you really don't want to be paying me to twiddle my thumbs whilst I'm waiting for it to finish. I'll pop the computer back to you when it's finished.

You will be liable for parts, however nine times our of ten I find most problems are usually software related rather than hardware. If you wish to source the parts yourself and have me fit them I am more than happy to do this. I do not place an excessive mark up on parts and will usually buy at trade or in bulk. It's unlikely you'll be able to source them cheaper.

Any problem with your PC, please give me a call. If you have a Macintosh - give me a call, too. I won't enjoy it but I can fix them as long as you have all the installation disks. I charge a little bit more to fix Macs because I actually have to think about how to fix them and I am not well equipped in the brains department....
